Growing up, the public library was one of my favorite places to go. As Fran Leibowitz has said, reading shouldn’t be a mirror, it should be a door. My local public library was a doorway that opened the world to me–it encouraged my curiosity, wonder, and imagination.
I’m both honored and excited to participate in Read Out 2021: A Festival of Lesbian Literature hosted by the LGBTQ Resource Center at the Gulfport Library in Gulfport, Florida. Over 80 authors are participating in the hybrid event that includes live and pre-recorded sessions with author readings, spoken word artists, comics, and entertainment between sessions.
I’ll be reading from my novel Aspen in Moonlight in the Pearls: Mystery & Fantasy session on Saturday, February 26, at 12 pm CST / 1 pm EST. There will be other great writers reading, including my friend and fellow author, Karen F. Williams. It’s going to be fun, I hope you’ll join us!
Click Here to register. Did I mention that it’s free? Yeah, it’s FREE! and open to an international audience.
Public libraries rock!
